Jamie Weeks

Jamie is a pioneer in the world of splitboarding, with a career marked by numerous industry-first accomplishments. His journey into splitboard guiding began in 1999 at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Teton National Park. Since 2000, Jamie has been guiding heli-skiing adventures in Alaska.

In the past decade, Jamie has shared his extensive knowledge by instructing avalanche safety courses for the American Avalanche Institute. He also serves as the Director of Safety Operations at Teton Gravity Research (TGR), where he organizes annual training courses for athletes and crew and guides on TGR locations.

As a dedicated ambassador for K2 Snowboards, Backcountry Access, and Karakoram, Jamie's commitment to the sport remains steadfast. In April 2016, he reached a significant milestone by completing the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) Ski Guide Exam on a splitboard, joining an exclusive group of splitboarders with this certification.

In the spring of 2018, Jamie and his wife, Nancy, planted roots in Stanley and now proudly call the Sawtooths their home.
